Here at DFS we’re looking for Trainee Service Upholsterers to join our team. From fixing zips and recliner mechanisms, to wood work/leather touch-ups and reupholstering a chair, no job is the same and each day will be different.
We've designed a six-month reskilling programme, bespoke for this role, in which a dedicated mentor will take you through a comprehensive training regime. Once completed, you’ll be ready to head out on your own to meet with our fantastic customers.
The six-month training period for this role will take place in Doncaster, although we’re open to where you’ll be based once fully trained - whether it be London, Scotland, or anywhere in between. Please note that you will be ‘based’ at one of our distribution centres and need to service customers throughout that area.
To help Service leavers access this opportunity, we're offering a two week, no obligation civilian work attachment through the Career Transition Partnership – helping you understand what the role entails before making a final decision. If upon completion you decide to continue on with the full six-month programme, you’ll be paired with an experienced and dedicated Service Upholsterer to support your onboarding journey.
Due to the nature of the training provided for this role, there is no requirement for previous experience! And so we invite all Service leavers to apply.
