Job Title

Water Quality Service Technician

You should live in one of the following locations:

Preference 1 - Derby
Preference 2 - Nottingham
Preference 3 - Leicester
Preference 4 – Greater Midlands

Job type

Full-time, Permanent
Particular skills and previous training not essential.

You should be:
  • Organised and punctual with a positive team attitude.
  • Able to demonstrate good personal communication skills.
  • Able to work alone as well as part of a wider team.
  • Honest, personable, methodical and enthusiastic.
  • Willing to learn new skills to better yourself and the company.
  • Happy to work from home as much as enjoy driving and travelling across the UK to carry out projects.

This role would particularly suit a Service leaver who possesses all of the above qualities but lacks formal training.


Your responsibilities as a Water Hygiene Technician
  • Monitoring and maintaining water supply systems.
  • Conduct sampling of water supply systems.
  • Carry out system disinfection, TMV service, showerhead cleaning etc.
  • Conduct BSRIA Chemistry and BSRIA Micro sampling.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the physical plant as instructed.
  • Conduct on-site closed system analysis for both heating and chilled systems.
  • Follow a preventative maintenance program as instructed.
  • Make recommendations for repairs to the physical plant and mobile equipment.
  • Recommend the purchase of goods and equipment.
  • Maintain personal equipment & chemical stocks inventories.
  • Provide written reports as required.
  • Ensure records are properly maintained.

Salary

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum dependent on ability, experience & training required.

Your base and area of work

You’ll be based from home and may only need to visit the office in Kent once a month. Therefore, it's essential you have a place at home to work on your company laptop where you can remain focused without distraction. That said, your role will require you to be out at different customer sites most days of the week. While you’re most likely to be undertaking projects within counties near to your residence, you will be expected to work across the UK as required by the company.

Holidays

28 paid holiday days per annum with bank holidays. Please note this includes a compulsory company / industry-wide shut down between Christmas and the New Year. Additional days allocated are then based on years of service.

Working Hours

Monday – Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Qualifications

  • UK Driving Licence (required).
  • Must be able to pass a full government enhanced security clearance check (required)

Training

It’s not necessary for you to have any water hygiene industry experience as we’ll provide full training as required. Your starting salary will reflect your level of experience and ability.

Amphibia are one of the UK's leading providers of water hygiene training, and our team will ensure you receive all the training and support needed to be confident in your new role. You’ll also have a designated mentor assigned to you for any technical support and assistance.
