We are blessed to be based in a beautiful part of the country with great access to a varied coastline and the amazing Dartmoor National Park. This makes it an attractive place to come and live and work.
Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust (TSDFT) is an Integrated Care Organisation providing hospital, community and social care to our local community. Our main site is based in Torquay – Torbay Hospital but we also have five community hospitals based across the locality which runs from Brixham through to Dawlish.
TSDFT also has three Health and Wellbeing Centres in Paignton, Dartmouth and Ashburton which allows people to access some of our services closer to their own homes.
When you think of the NHS – do you just think doctors and nurses? Obviously these are key roles for treating our patients, but do you know there are over 300 other careers that are offered across the whole NHS?

As you will see, many of these are not clinical and some of the skills that you will have already gained during your military career can be transferred to working for us!
In June 2019 the Trust signed the Armed Forces Covenant and we currently hold a Bronze Employers Recognition Scheme Award. We are working towards gaining Silver and are committed to gain Gold over the next year or so.
Over the next few months we will be looking to offer work placements to current serving personnel, Veterans and Spouses.
