Veterans Scheme
PHD Group understand that changing career can be difficult, and to be a truly good manager or director, you need to know exactly how to do the small stuff. This is why we have developed our new Veterans Scheme especially for military leavers and reservists. The scheme offers you the on-the-tools experience and opportunities to gain the qualifications you need to build your second career.

The Veterans Scheme is broken down into two parts and is based in central London, and in their Head Office in Uxbridge. During the first segment, interested candidates will develop their experience in the construction industry as an apprentice scaffolder.

These two years present the opportunity to learn terminology, familiarise yourself with equipment and gain onsite knowledge, along with attaining the NVQ Level 2 in Scaffolding and Accessing Operations and Rigging.

On completion of the apprenticeship, applicants have the opportunity to work within various areas of the business, including: site management, quantity surveyors and project management to discover which career they would be most interested in.

During this time, you will be enrolled on a managerial training programme concentrating on the key components of the business: operations, commercial, safety and design.

Each candidate who completes the Veteran Scheme is given a guaranteed interview for a role within PHD Group.
