Purpose of the Role
The Senior HR Advisor will need to deliver a combination of HR Business Partner and HR Advisor activities, to meet the requirements of the M&L business area, while also supporting the LTPA Portfolio Office.
Providing credible, professional advice to the business managers in line with best practice and company policy; acting as the conscious of the business on all people related activities.
The Senior HR Advisor will collaborate with key stakeholders within the Business Unit, in order to proactively identify areas where HR can add value, and lead solutions in support of strategic goals and operational business performance.
This role is initially offered as part-time for a minimum of two days a week, with working days being Monday and Tuesday. This is to cover the non-working day for the HRBP on Monday and a regular catch up day with the HRBP on Tuesday. There is a possibility that the number of working days per week could be increased by mutual agreement.
Due to the geographical spread of QinetiQ across the UK, this position could involve some UK travel.
Principal Accountabilities
Provide M&L Business with focused, comprehensive and pragmatic HR advice, support and solutions, to Managers and Employees alike, in line with organisation policies and procedures, covering a range of employee relations matters such as:
- Absence Management
- Performance Management
- Resourcing, including oversight of Early Careers placements within the Business Unit
- Process Improvement activities to enhance business performance and efficiency
- Employee Engagement
- Reward and Recognition
- Does require CIPD or equivalent
