Community Integrated Care is one of the UK's largest health and social care charities Community Integrated Care is one of the UK's largest health and social care charities. We work in the community, delivering life-enhancing support to people with a diverse range of care needs, including:
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Mental Health Concerns
  • Autism
  • Age-Related Needs
  • Dementia
We were founded in 1988 as one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community Agenda’, with the aim of supporting people leaving long stay, institutionalised hospitals to lead fuller, better lives in the community. Since then, we have grown to provide a wide range of innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people living across England and Scotland. We are proud to have been awarded the prestigious accolade of "Charity of the Year" at the 2019/20 Charity Times Awards.

Community Integrated Care is a national organisation – delivering services from the very tip of Scotland, in Peterhead, right down to the foot of England, in Portsmouth.

We focus on working locally, understanding the special characteristics of each community we deliver services in. To do this, we have structured our organisation into six regional divisions, which each have the resources, specialist skills and support to deliver excellent services in our local communities. Each Region is led by a Managing Director, and is supported by our Widnes-based Support Services Office.

John Kelly – ex 8 sqd R.C.T / Support Worker says: “If you wonder if a job in the Social Care sector could be ideal for an ex-soldier, then let me assure you it is!As an ex-squaddie, I know first hand how important it is to feel part of a team and to ensure you have the right training for the job.

I know from personal experience, that going into conflicts overseas, you go with the belief that your are helping to protect people who cannot do this for themselves which is incredibly similar to working in care and support. The people we support, rely on us to help them throughout their day in any way we can to help them live as independently as possible and there is no greater feeling after a day supporting, than going home and knowing you have made a difference to someone’s life and improved their day.

If you have any doubts, then please let me assure you, it is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done, so why not give it a try and find out for yourself?”
