Location: Online

Time: 11:00 - 13:00

The Armed Forces community offer a wealth of desirable and highly transferable skills which would be welcomed in the NHS. As one of the largest employers in the world, the NHS offers a whole host of possibilities within hundreds of different service areas. It can only function effectively, and provide high quality services to our patients, with the combined skills and dedication of our varied clinical and non-clinical colleagues. Our NHS is so much more than ‘just a hospital’.

Calling military service leavers, veterans, spouses/partners and family.

Join this two-hour online event for an insight into NHS careers. Colleagues from a range of south west NHS providers will give an overview of roles in the NHS, providing links with employers and facilitating pre-employment discussion. Roles will include maintenance; catering; health & safety; security; frontline support services; procurement; project management; digital services/ ICT; accountancy and administration.

This is your opportunity to find out more about the many different roles as well as NHS recruitment processes. You will have opportunity to make connections with people from across NHS organisations in the region.

The interactive event will start with short introductions by local NHS representatives, giving you an insight into their strand of the health service. After that, you can visit a variety of breakout rooms to find out more about roles and talk to colleagues with a military background about their own experiences of transferring into an NHS career.
