Simon Sherman left the Royal Navy as a Chief Weapons Engineering Artificer after 22 years service. He made full use of the resources available to him as part of his resettlement with the CTP and attended the NEBOSH and Rail Signalling vocational courses at our Resettlement Training Centre in Aldershot. He is now a Service Controller at London Underground where the management skills he learnt in the Navy, along with the vocational training undertaken during his resettlement have led him to successfully complete his training at London Underground. Peter Saunders is a mentor and trainer for London Underground and coached Simon’s intake for his training programme along with a number of other Service leavers. He speaks of how their positive attitude and willingness to learn and do their job to the best of their ability is favoured by London Underground.
