Employer Focus Directory – presenting your brand to ex-military candidates
Category: Recruitment
Publish date: 13/07/2015
CTP has developed an exciting new way for organisations to let Service leavers know all about them and what they are looking for: the
Employer Focus Directory. Read on to find out how you can create a page to represent your brand to Service leavers.
What are Employer Focus Pages for?
The Employer Focus pages are company profile pages, hosted on our website. These pages are for you to provide information specifically relevant to Service leavers, about your current opportunities, what it's like to work for you and how to submit a successful application.
What can you include?
The content of the company profile pages is written by you the Employer. The information you provide can be in various formats: articles to highlight your values and present an overview of your organisation, guides to explain your recruitment process, case studies of your ex-military employees and adverts for upcoming events. You are able to provide text, jpeg images, YouTube links, videos and documents. We do not allow external links from Employer Focus pages.
Banner Images
The landing page has either a large company logo or you can provide a customised banner.
The top left of each of the other pages is a block of your corporate colour with your company name and section heading. The right hand side can be an image (300px 500px). These images can be the same on each page or unique and selected to match the topic of the section. There is also an automated link to social media pages if appropriate.
About
This Section is for you to provide an overview of your Organisation and explain why you are recruiting from the military community. This can be in the form of text, a video or both!
Tips and Advice
This section is to provide more information about the applications process. Articles and/or videos can be provided to explain how a Service leaver can best present their qualifications and experience to achieve a successful application. It is useful here to highlight the format or style of CV that you find most useful and mention particular skills and trades that you might be interested in. If you application process involves assessments, it can be useful to provide an overview here of how the Service leaver can prepare for those.
Case Studies
Service leavers find it really useful to read transition stories from your ex-military employees. It is reassuring that someone else has been through the process and hear how they are finding life of the other side. These case studies can be built from a template questionnaire form, written as a report or blog or video interview
Open Days
If you are planning Open Days, Company Presentations, Live Chats or attending our Employment Fairs, we can let Service leavers know on this page. They will be able to click on the event to be redirected to the CTP Event Calendar and booking form.
Latest Jobs
This is the easiest section to create as it is automatically linked to your job listings in RightJob. Service leavers can login and then click directly on the vacancy to get further information and apply. There is also the option to have a similar page to list your Civilian Work Attachment vacancies.
