Do you want to work in a Land Based industry? Highground is a new charity aiming to support Service leavers and veterans into Land Based careers.
Highground offers advice and support to those who might be interested in learning about the wide variety of careers available in the Land-Based Sector.
The sector provides a great variety of jobs and offers opportunities to ex-servicemen and women who have a wealth of experience, dedication and enthusiasm; as well as many transferable skills. Highground has joined forces with Plumpton College in the South Downs of East Sussex to run 5 day ‘
Rural Experience Weeks’ to introduce you to the sector. Subsequently, the programme will help you to find work and if necessary the qualifications you will require.
Highground is seeking volunteers to take part in their 'hands on' pilot weeks, commencing on the following dates:31 August - 5 September
26 - 31 October
The objectives of the programme are:
- To introduce veterans and Service leavers to a variety of land based activities including practical skills and qualifications required.
- Give one to one individual vocational counselling and advice on the preparation of CVs.
- Give practical support in Job Finding and/or work experience.

- Discussion Groups
