Resettlement information and advice is delivered in three tiers. The first two tiers of information and advice are provided by the single services and are available to anyone at any point in their military career. The third tier is delivered by Career Transition Partnership (CTP), a private/public partnership between the MOD and Right Management Ltd, a specialist civilian outplacement company.
The Career Transition Programme provides dedicated one-to-one employment and career consultancy, access to vocational resettlement training with funding support, a job finding service, assistance in CV preparation and job interview technique, and briefings on post-discharge practical life support matters.
Leaving the Armed Forces and resettling into civilian life can seem a daunting prospect, but the CTP is here to help you make a successful transition. We provide guidance, advice, and information to assist eligible Service leavers, free of charge.
The CTP provides resettlement services through 10 Regional Resettlement Centres situated in military establishments in the UK and Germany. Each centre is manned by career consultants, trainers, administrators and information resource co-ordinators. We are here to provide eligible Service leavers with free help, support and advice individually tailored for you.
We provide workshops to help you identify what you have to offer civilian employers, and learn how to market yourself in today's competitive job market. Our career consultants can help you focus on, and work towards, a second career that suits you. We provide a range of resettlement training courses, and offer advice and information on external training courses, so that you can gain relevant qualifications and skills, and increase your chances of getting the job you want.
The CTP provides an on-line job finding service for Service leavers and runs employment fairs all over the UK, to give you the best possible access to employers and their vacancies.
