The Housing Briefing focuses on the various accommodation options available post-discharge and is run by the Joint Services Housing Advice Office (JSHAO). This briefing is known as "Housing - The Options" and is one day in length.
Attendance at this event is treated as duty, allowances apply, and may take place at any time in a Service person's career, although priority is given to Service leavers with 9 months or less until discharge. The briefings are held at all Regional Resettlement Centres, and spouses can attend if there is space available. The Pension Briefing is run by the Forces Pension Society and covers all aspects of the Armed Forces Pension Scheme. The briefing lasts for half a day. Contact details of Financial Advisors will be available at the briefing. The following topics will be covered:
