SCOTTISH EMPLOYMENT FAIR
05/07/2010

Following a now traditional networking dinner the night before the event, yet again the sun shone on Scotland's Annual Employment Fair. The venue was the Dewar's Centre in Perth, a tried and tested venue, offering plenty space and facilities to suit everyone.
The fair was attended by 370+ Service Leavers and included in excess of 60 employer representatives from a range of sectors as well as service charities and Service Resettlement Advisors. RRC Rosyth team were delighted to welcome back a few old names from the Oil & Gas sector in particular, as things are starting to move in this sector.

Companies included Baker Hughes, Fugro Survey and Schlumberger. New companies included Royal Mail, Amazon and Punch Taverns. Presentations were also given throughout the day including on CTP Training by the RTC Team, Digital Communications careers, and the most popular being Amazon - Operations careers working for an on-line retailer; as well as Aviation and IET. Indeed the Amazon presentation and stand proved one of the most popular of the event.
Feedback indicates that both Service leavers and employers found the event a very useful day and confirms that there are still job opportunities out there suitable for leavers of the Armed Forces.
