Here is a round up of the latest courses which have been added to the Resettlement Training Centre (RTC) and RRC Centres in recent months. Course descriptions are attached for more detail.

NEBOSH DIPLOMA IN ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
The NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management is designed for individuals with responsibilities for the management of environmental risk in relation to the damage caused by work activities. It will be invaluable for those wishing to work in organisations aiming to develop and implement effective environmental management systems or indeed training and development.
This course will be run at RRC Catterick and RRC Plymouth
Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) National/International
The Goods Vehicles (Licensing of Operators) Act 1995 was designed to implement EC Directives 92/26EC and subordinate legislation with regard to the occupation of road haulage operations. The regulations state than an operator who seeks a standard National Licence must satisfy the Licensing Authority that he/she is either professionally competent or employs someone as a transport manager who is professionally competent and is of good repute. In this context only an individual person can be professionally competent and to become this, the person must pass the CPC examinations set by the Oxford, Cambridge and Royal Society of Arts, Examination Board (OCR).

The course is suitable for aspiring Transport Managers, Logistics employers and those ports employees whose duties include transport management.
On successful completion of the course and subsequent examination students will be awarded an OCR level 3 Certificate of Professional Competence in National and International Road Haulage Operations.
This course will be run at RRC Cottesmore and the next available course is due to take place between 20th May - 4th June.
Driver Certificate of Professional Competence and ADR

Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is being introduced across the European Union to maintain high driving standards and improve road safety. All professional bus, coach and lorry drivers must hold a Driver CPC if they wish to drive for a living.
The ADR section of the course is aimed at all existing drivers of LGV carrying dangerous goods in containers/receptacles or in bulk that falls within the scope of:
- The Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road Regulations
- Drivers of road tankers within the scope of The Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road Regulations
- Drivers of vehicles carrying tank containers within the scope of The Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road Regulations
- Drivers of vehicles carrying explosives
- Drivers of vehicles carrying radioactive material irrespective of the maximum weight of the vehicle.
This course will be run at RRC Catterick and RRC Cottesmore.
