NEBOSH COURSE CONGRATULATIONS

01/01/0001

Congratulations to those who attended the Occupational Safety and Health NEBOSH Level 3 course run at RRC Catterick late 2009 who between them obtained nine distinctions and ten credits!

One student, Dave Auckland who received a distinction, commented that all those who attended appreciated the efforts of the tutor and Catterick staff "as it would have been so much harder without their guidance".

What is the Occupational Safety and Health NEBOSH Level 3 Course?
This qualification is for those who wish to become managers and supervisors within all types of organisations where a broad understanding of health and safety issues is necessary. The certificate helps them manage risks effectively. Many people take the NEBOSH National General Certificate as a first step in a career in health and safety. It provides a valuable overview, and is a sound basis for further professional study. Achieving a distinction or a credit holds a significant amount of kudos when the qualification is detailed on any application or CV when applying for a vocational role within this sector.

Many larger organisations choose the NEBOSH National General Certificate as a key part of their supervisors' or management development programme.  By ensuring that line managers have a sound understanding of the principles of risk management they build an effective safety culture in the company.  Smaller organisations, operating in lower risk environments, often choose the NEBOSH National General certificate as the appropriate qualification for the manager taking the lead on health and safety issues.
