Standby/Payment Training Courses

The CTP offers over 50 job related courses at the Resettlement Training Centre (RTC) in Aldershot. A wide range of subjects is covered, from management training in various employment fields, through to trade skills and security. While many courses result in recognised qualifications, others can lead to employment with companies that have long-standing links with the RTC.

The courses last between 5 and 25 working days. In addition to the RTC's training provision, computer courses are also run by the CTP. These have different entry levels depending on existing IT skills.

These courses, however, can be accessed by personnel eligible for the Employemnt Support Programme on a spare places basis only through the Standby/Payment Training scheme. Bookings are not confirmed until 10 days before the start of a course and attendees are charged £15 per day. You must be registered for the CTP's Job Finding Service to apply.

Annual or Terminal leave is to be used when attending and payment for the whole course is required on day one. You may apply for this scheme using MoD Form 363 but you will not be on duty and no allowances are accordingly available.
