Job Finding Services
The Job Finding Service is available 6 months before leaving and up to 2 years after discharge. The service is provided primarily through Employment Consultants (ECs) who are located across 24 offices of the Regular Forces Employment Association Limited (RFEA) and 2 branches of the Officer's Association (OA). These organisations are sub-contracted by and are fully integrated into the CTP.
Employment Consultants
ECs, through direct liaison with employers, uncover a constant flow of job opportunities and provide well-informed advice and guidance on employment in their area.
RightJob on-line job finding service
A central database enables us to provide a job matching and notification service wherever you are looking for work. Additionally you will have access to RightJob, our on-line job-finding service. It is an easy and convenient way for Service leavers registered with CTP to search and apply for any of the thousands of live vacancies on the database.
Employment Fairs
We run regular employment fairs to enable you to meet potential employers and find out more about careers open to you.

Applications for the Job Finding Service are to be made using MoD Form 1173 through your Service Resettlement Advisor. The form will be sent to your nearest Regional Resettlement Centre who will get in touch. An initial interview for the Job Finding Service will then be arranged, usually with a RFEA Employment Consultant (one travel claim but no subsistence claim is available for this purpose).
Post Discharge Support
To register post discharge, get in touch with the EC at your local RFEA/OA office directly. The Location Map can link you to details of their offices in your area. When you find employment, please do come back and notify your EC so we can update your record.
If you should need to look for work again, simply get back in touch with your local RFEA/OA office. Remember that in their capacity as registered charities, the RFEA and OA provide lifelong job finding assistance for ex-military people.
