Career Transition Workshop - Officers
The Career Transition Workshop (CTW) is a three-day workshop that will enable you to identify and evaluate those skills and qualities you have gained during your time in the Services. Having gained an understanding of your unique skills, you will then be taught how to develop your self-marketing material so as to bring them to the attention of potential employers.
Course Content
A CTW will cover the following topics:
- Identifying transferable skills and experience
- Identifying goals and priorities
- CV preparation
- Analysing job advertisements
- Researching the job market
- Networking
- How to market yourself to employers
- Applying for jobs
- Interview techniques
Also included during the three day workshop:
- Introduction to the information and research facilities available, including the internet
- Access to PC's for CV writing
- The first of your one-to-one sessions with your Career Consultant
