Andrew Connelly, served 22 years in the Army with 15 years under the Royal Military Police leaving as a WO2, he now works for Aegis Defence Service.

Please thank everyone at the centre for everything they do for hundreds and servicemen/women every year. It has been the hardest transition of my life, leaving something I lived and breathed for over 20 years. But having been there and stepped over the line, it's not so bad.
 
Once again thank you for your support and carry on serving those who have served the crown.

 

Jamie Anderson, worked in the Army as a Armed Systems Engineer for 9 years leaving as a Sergeant, he now works as a Technician T2A, for SIEMENS.

Lee Holmes, ex-Army SSgt now works as a Police Officer for Greater Manchester Police.

The whole Career Transition Workshop was helpful as you were with people in the same situation as you and you could talk to each other and pick up things that they have been told by others and vice verse. Also the tutors gave sound full advice and were always on hand if you needed that little bit more information or help.

 

Franciscus De-leuw, former RAF WO completed the Plastering and Texturing and Tiling courses with the RTC, now retired and putting his new found skills into practice renovating his property in Crete

I found training courses at RTC Aldershot well organised, equipped and excellent value.

'I would like to take this opportunity to thank the CTP Personnel who I worked with during my resettlement time; for all their friendly help and advice especially through my CTW but also by subsequent email.

Some of my ideas were unrealistic and the staff actually helped to highlight this for me. However, my current employment stemmed from a chance encounter with someone during my attendance at a Job Fair in Peterborough last year, arranged for me by the CTP personnel in Cottesmore and I am eternally grateful to them for that.'

The workshop really helped me to realise my true potential. I thought that all I was good for was driving trucks at best. After attending the workshop I realised that I was management or at least supervisory level.

The Career Transition Workshop was outstanding and and extremely important for all military leavers. The professionalism of all the staff at RRC Aldershot were incredible; they made the time to listen and communicate with all the students and credit for this should not go unmissed.

Without a doubt, CTP is absolutely fundamental for all those departing military life, even if employment has been secured.  I gained valuable advice that will benefit me in the future should I change vocation.  Many thanks indeed.

Completing the Career Transition Workshop (CTW) was really helpful as when my current appointment came up I was able to apply for it using the skills and information gleaned from the CTW.

I would advise everyone to complete the CTW so that they are prepared for any opportunity that might arise.

I believe the workshop is excellent and all Service leavers should attend, it helped provide confirmation for me and provide a boost to the old confidence knowing that I had many transferable skills that would help me get a job.
